NOTICE TO BIDDERS

CITY OF NEWTON, IOWA PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

Sealed Bids for the work comprising the improvement as stated below must be filed before 11:00 am on August 21, 2025, in the office of the Utilities Director, 303 W 4th St N, Suite 501, Newton, IA 50208.

Sealed proposals will be opened and bids tabulated at 11:00 am on August 21st, 2025, in the Utilities Office, 303 W 4th St N, Suite 501, Newton, IA, for consideration by the Newton City Council at its meeting on September 2nd, 2025; at the Newton City Council Chambers.  The City of Newton reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

General Nature of Public Improvement:

2025 Sanitary Sewer Lining Project

Project includes 5065 feet of Pre-Rehabilitation and inspection, 5065 feet of 8" AND 10" CIPP lining to include 122 more or less service reinstatement and 30 CIPP end seals, 141 vertical feet of centrifugally cast cementitious mortar epoxy coated and 9 minor manhole adjustments in two general locations in Newton, Iowa.
