2024 REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

COLLECTION OF RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLABLES

I.  INTRODUCTION

The City of Newton is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide solid waste and recyclable collection services for single-family houses, condominiums, duplexes, tri-plexes, four-plexes, and townhouses.  Approximately 5,601 households will be served.  The City expects to initiate the new solid waste and recycling services contract on July 1, 2025.  The initial contract will be for five years, with the city's option to renew it for one additional year.

Proposals must be received by 10:00 am on Friday, January 24, 2025, in the Office of The Public Works Director, City of Newton, 303 W 4th St N, Suite 501, Newton, IA  50208.  The proposals will then be opened and reviewed by the Public Works Director.  All responses shall contain a complete copy of all required submission materials, including Form I, II, and III.
