Marysville Pre-Engineered Buildings
This project intends to construct two separate outbuildings to be utilized by City of Marysville staff. Each building has different requirements which can be found within the provided plans on Bid Express. Bidders should include the following work in their bid: sourcing pre-engineered building materials, handling of all required building permits, completion of any grading work to be required per the plans and finally, the construction of the building with all fixtures included per provided engineering plan.
Selected contactor will be expected to prep the site to ensure an appropriate grade. Upon request, the City can provide suitable fill materials to establish the requested elevations.
Building #1 – 4-Sided Pre-Engineered Metal Building (80’x120’) with a series of garage doors allowing multiple access points. This will be a heated building with electric throughout. The floor finish will be concrete. The location of this building is at our current City of Marysville Wastewater Collections Department. (620 N Main St.)
Building #2 – 3-Sided Pre-Engineered Metal Building (60’x120’) serving as cold storage with open access points on one side, and a gravel floor. This building will include electric for lighting and several outlets. This building will be located at the current Maintenance Operation Center for the City of Marysville. (455 N Maple St.)
There will be a Pre-Bid Meeting held at City Hall, 209 South Main Street, Marysville, Ohio 43040 at 10:00 a.m., Local Time, on November 13th, 2024. Following the Pre-Bid Meeting, prospective Bidders are encouraged to inspect the project area and existing facilities.
The Bidding Documents are available online at www.bidexpress.com. The City has adopted the electronic bidding process in an effort to make the bidding process more efficient and cost effective for both the contractor and the City.
All formal bids shall be submitted using the electronic bidding process on Bid Express. All potential bidders must first register on
www.bidexpress.com
and create an Info Tech Digital ID for free, which is used to digitally sign bids. The creation of Digital IDs/Signatures assures the City knows the creator of the bid (forgery resistance), ensures that nobody can alter a bid (non-repudiation), prevents bid disclosure to unauthorized parties (secrecy) and safeguards that authorized parties cannot access the bid prior to the public opening (sealing). Bidders shall provide proof of qualifications, to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders, and complete the Best Bidder Information Form provided.
Bidders shall comply with all statutory requirements in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
All Bids must include payment of wages at prevailing wage rates pursuant to Ohio Revised Code (ORC), Section 4115-15 and shall comply with the provisions, duties and obligations of ORC Section 4115. Further information provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
Each Bidder must deposit with its Bid, a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a bond for an amount of 100% of the Bid if in the form of a Bid Guaranty or in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid if in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or irrevocable letter of credit, for and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders and pursuant with ORC Section 153.54, 153.57 and 153.571. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety or via the electronic bid bond options available on bidexpress.com.
