Description:

REQUEST FOR QUOTATION

The City of Cortez is requesting quotes from qualified vendors to replace the leach field at the Cortez Municipal Airport.

The project consists of installing a new leach field, replacing the existing leach field that serves the Cortez Municipal Airport’s onsite wastewater system. The current leach field has experienced partial-to-complete functional failure due to age and diminished percolation capacity. Work will include all necessary excavation, installation of a new leach field system sized and designed in accordance with current regulatory requirements, and all associated site restoration and protection of facilities. Work will also include the removal and replacement of one (1) septic tank with a pre-cast concrete tank measuring 1,000-gallons in capacity.

The contractor will be responsible for verifying existing conditions; coordinating with local and state regulatory agencies as required; installing new distribution piping, chambers, or other approved leach field technologies; ensuring proper grading and drainage; conducting system testing; and restoring disturbed areas to pre-construction condition. All work must be completed in a manner that minimizes disruption to airport operations and complies with applicable environmental, health, and safety standards.
