PROJECT OVERVIEW The City of Cocoa is seeking qualified roofing contractors to provide complete roof replacement services for 1305 S. Lakemont Drive, Cocoa FL under the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Housing Rehabilitation Program. The property owner is responsible for removing all PV-Solar Panels and therefore should not be included in the quote. DWELLING INFORMATION

Lakemont Drive, Cocoa FL on October 30, 2025 between the hours of 10:00am and 12:00pm Quote Due Date: Quotes must be submitted via VendorLink or by emailing purchasing@cocoafl.gov by 10:00 am on November 6, 2025. SCOPE OF WORK
General Requirements The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and supervision necessary for complete roof replacement at 1305 S. Lakemont Drive, Cocoa FL. All work shall comply with applicable Florida Building Code requirements, local ordinances, and industry best practices. PV-Solar Panels will be removed (by owner) once the City of Cocoa has a signed roof replacement contract. Roof Replacement Services
The Contractor shall perform the following roof replacement activities: 1. Complete removal and disposal of existing roofing system down to the deck
2. Inspection of roof decking and structural components for damage or deterioration
3. Replacement of all damaged, rotted, or compromised wood decking and structural members
4. Installation of underlayment and moisture barriers per manufacturer specifications
5. Installation of new roofing material shall match the existing as closely as possible for material, style, color and method of installation
6. Seal all edges
7. Flash and caulk all adjoining surfaces and make weather tight
8. Replace all flashing, roofing accessories and nails using rust-resistant material
9. Install all roofs in one continuous operation
10. Replace gable ends (including paint) PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Installation Standards All roofing work shall be completed in one continuous operation per roof section to minimize weather exposure. The Contractor shall implement protective measures to safeguard interior contents and property from weather elements throughout the project duration. Daily cleanup and debris removal is required, with the work area to be swept clean and all materials properly disposed of each day. WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS
Per the State of Florida Contractors to provide a Warrantee period for the workmanship described above which shall be free from defects. Material defects are covered under the manufacturer`s warranty, unless otherwise expressly provided herein. PROJECT COORDINATION
The Contractor shall coordinate all work scheduling with the City of Cocoa Project Coordinator. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bid/proposals, with or without a cause; to waive technical errors and informalities; and to award bid/proposals to the lowest responsive, responsible bid/proposer. One or more of the City Council members may be present at the bid/proposal opening.
