Sealed bids from general contractors duly licensed pursuant to Louisiana’s Contractors Licensing Laws for the major classification of Building Construction are requested by the City of Central for construction of:
Project Name: City of Central New City Hall
Project Number: 4023101
Bids will be received at the City of Central City Hall, 13421 Hooper Rd., Ste. 8, Central, LA 70818 until 2:00 PM., Local Time on November 7, 2024
At which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bidders have the option to submit their bids electronically by using Central Bidding (www.centralbidding.com).

Bid Documents may be obtained without charge and without deposit from WWW.Centerlinebidconnect.com. Plan holders are responsible for their own reproduction cost.
The successful Bidder will be allowed 395 calendar days to complete the Project from the date established in a Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages will be assessed at $1,000 for each consecutive calendar day for which work is not substantially completed beyond the date set as the completion date in the Notice to Proceed, as may be extended in accordance with the Contract Documents.
Bid Documents may be reviewed at the office of the Central Municipal Services 6703 Sullivan Rd., Central, LA 70739, and online at centralbidding.com
Bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to 5 percent of the base bid and all additive alternates in the form of either a certified check or a bid bond.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 AM on October 24, 2024, at Central Community School System School Board Room, 11576 Sullivan Rd. Central, LA 70818. Attendance at this Pre-Bid Conference is MANDATORY and bidders must be present for the entire conference in order to submit a bid.
The Contract, if awarded, will be on the basis stated in the Instructions to Bidders. The Non-Collusion Affidavit, the Affidavit certifying compliance with R.S. 38:2212.10 regarding an employee verification system, the No Convictions Affidavit required by R.S. 38:2227, and Affidavit certifying compliance with La. R.S. 38:2216.1 must be delivered by the apparent low bidder to the same location where bids are received within 10 calendar days of the bid opening. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after the bid opening except as provided by law. Bidders must meet the requirements of the State of Louisiana Contractor’s Licensing law, R.S. 37:2151 et seq.
