CITY OF CANTON FIRE DEPARTMENT GENERATOR EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION PROJECT

FOR CITY OF CANTON, MS

The City of Canton, Mississippi (the “City”) will be accepting Proposals from qualified contractors,

companies, and vendors to provide delivery, installation, startup, testing, commissioning, and

integration services for emergency standby generators at four City of Canton Fire Department

facilities.

The proposed project is funded through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and

includes generator equipment, concrete generator pads, natural gas and electrical connections,

startup and commissioning, and all associated work necessary for complete and operational

emergency power systems.

The City of Canton will receive proposals by electronic submission at

www.waggonerengplans.com until 10:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time on the 17th day of July

2026.

Detailed information for interested respondents related to this Request for Proposals can be

obtained by contacting Dr. Chuconna Anderson, City Clerk at canderson@cantonms.gov or 601-

859-3441 ext. 9.

The City will evaluate submissions from qualified respondents and make its selection based on

information that appears to best serve the interests of the City of Canton. Upon completing the

selection process, contract negotiations will proceed with the most highly ranked respondent. If

a contract cannot be negotiated with the most highly ranked respondent, negotiations will

continue in order of ranking until a respondent agrees to and enters into an agreement

satisfactory to the City of Canton.

The City of Canton will hold a Pre-Submission Conference at 10:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time on

June 25, 2026, in the Board Room at Canton City Hall, 226 E Peace St, Canton, MS, 39046.

Attendance at the Pre-Submission Conference is highly encouraged for all interested in

submitting Proposals.

Any questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing and delivered via email to

canderson@cantonms.gov with the City of Canton Fire Department Generator Equipment

Installation Project listed in the subject line. All questions will be responded to by Addendum.

The deadline for submission of any questions to the City of Canton will be 5:00 p.m. Central

Daylight Time on July 2, 2026.
