Description
The City is interested in purchasing light duty electric vehicle (EV) units (“Units”) for use in current City operations. Proposed Units must be equipped with an onboard, plug-in, rechargeable battery (or batteries) as the sole source of energy that provides power for propulsion and any applicable accessories. Units will be operated by The City in various municipal duties and must be capable of operation during Calgary’s extreme weather and temperatures. As such, the scope of this RFP is included but not limited to the below Schedules:
• Schedule A – Passenger Cars: Mid-Size EVs
• Schedule B – Passenger Cars: Full-Size EVs
• Schedule C – Passenger Cars: Station Wagon EVs
• Schedule D – Sport Utility Vehicles: Electric Small SUVs
• Schedule E – Sport Utility Vehicles: Electric Standard SUVs
• Schedule F – Light Trucks: Electric Pickup Trucks
• Schedule G – Light and Medium Duty Trucks: Electric Cargo/Cutaway Vans
When required, The City will reach out to each awarded Supplier to collaborate and finalize the requirements and specifications for each Unit prior to ordering to ensure accuracy before delivery.
Each Supplier will be expected to deliver the required Units, applicable accessories, training, parts, and service support throughout the contract period.
The estimated contract period will be 85 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/07/01.
