City of Brookhaven Website Design

The City of Brookhaven is seeking a supplier to design and develop a new website, new content management system platform, and ongoing agency support/customer service. The City of Brookhaven requires a solution that is ADA-compliant with new 2026 federal mandates and available in languages that reflect the demographics of the city. The underlying CMS needs to provide ease and efficiency of management that (with training) administrators can maintain the site without assistance. The current site consists of approximately 4,400 published pages, which include the news archive and other project-related pages from 2018 to present. There are approximately 7,600 PDFs/documents, and approximately 2,300 image files. For the month of August 2024, Brookhaven had 28,237 active users and more than 40,000 sessions on this website. Users were split evenly between mobile and laptop. The site is externally hosted. This RFP is for web design/development services only, with hosting negotiated separately. Web responsibility resides in the Communications Department, which oversees the entire site and maintains the content.
