2026 City of Arcata Timber Sale

Sealed bids for the purchase of approximately 430 MBF of FSC Certified timber, comprised of approximately 300 MBF of redwood; 110 MBF Douglas fir; and 20 MBF of western hemlock will be received at the Arcata City Manager’s Office, 736 F Street, Arcata, California, until 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read:

The successful purchaser shall:

A. Purchase 300MBF of redwood timber; and/or 110 MBF of Douglas fir; and/or 20 MBF of western hemlock, harvested from a stand of timber 100-112 years old, from the Arcata Community Forest, Jacoby Creek Tract from NTMP 1-99-033HUM, to be delivered to Purchaser’s yard or similar designated location.

B. Pay Seller requisite portion of State Timber Yield Taxes.

Each sealed envelope containing a bid (quote) must be plainly marked on the outside as “TIMBER SALE BID 2026.”  Specifications may be obtained on the City’s website under “Bid” or directly from the Contracts and Special Projects Manager, 736 F Street, Arcata, California.  The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.  The award may be made at the regularly scheduled Arcata City Council Meeting on July 15, 2026.
