Cicero Swamp Wildlife Management Area Shrubland Cutting

Cicero Swamp Wildlife Management Area (WMA) is located in Cicero, NY adjacent to Interstate 481. The property is managed by the Department of Environmental Conservation’s (Department) Bureau of Wildlife to maximize the wildlife habitat within the property. To meet that goal, regular habitat manipulation is required to sustain identified areas within particular age-classes of forest or shrubland. This project focuses on the annual management of a shrubland area that must be cut regularly to combat encroachment of mature forest species, which would be detrimental to critical species.

Pursuant to the State Finance Law Sections 139-j and 139-k, this RFP
includes and imposes certain restrictions on communications between a
Governmental Entity and a Potential Proposer during the procurement

Bidders shall adhere to the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation guidelines regarding permissible contacts during a procurement and the prohibition of inappropriate lobbying influence.
