Church Street and West Third Street Improvements

Sealed proposals will be received by South Orange Village, County of Essex, State of New Jersey, at Village Hall, 76 South Orange Avenue, Third Floor, South Orange Village, New Jersey 07079, on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time or shortly thereafter, and at that time and place publicly opened and read for the Church Street and West Third Street Improvements project, in South Orange Village, NJ. South Orange Village disclaims responsibility for late receipt of bids which are not submitted in person (i.e., mail, FedEx, etc.).  All bids submitted, either in person or by mail must have the sealed envelope clearly marked on the outside “BID FOR – Church Street and West Third Street Improvements”.

Significant Items of Work Include: HMA Milling, 3" Or Less; Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course 2" Thick, Granite Block Curb, and Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick.

Copies of the Proposal documents can be obtained by downloading from the Village website, www.southorange.org and examined during regular business hours in the Clerk’s Office, Village Hall, 76 South Orange Avenue, Third Floor, South Orange Village, NJ. Electronic copies of the Proposal documents are provided free of charge by downloading from the Village website..

South Orange Village reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid received, and to reject any and/or all bids as in its judgment may best serve the interest of the Village.  The Village shall have a maximum of sixty (60) days from the receipt of bids to either accept or reject them.

Proposals for the contracts will be accepted only from Bidders who have been properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the specifications.

The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964, and the requirements of P.O. 1975, c. 127.

Bidders are required to provide a copy of their Public Works Contractor registration with the bid pursuant to P.L. 1999, c.238.

Bidders are required to provide a copy of their Business Registration with the bid pursuant to P.L. 2004, c.57.
