Church Street Project (#08-2025)

The City of Trinidad, 135 North Animas, Trinidad, Colorado 81082, will receive separate sealed BIDS for: PROJECT #08-2025 CHURCH STREET PROJECT. The scope of the project includes the reconstruction of Church Street from Animas Street to Commercial Street, and Convent Street from Main Street to Plum Street. The primary work elements consist of construction of a water line replacement, sanitary sewer line rehabilitation, underground storm sewer system replacement, 4" concrete sidewalk, 6" concrete pavement, Type 2 curb & gutter, construction of underground electrical vaults and conduit, street light foundations, demolition of bleachers, ADA improvements, and placement of brick pavers over concrete.

BIDS will be received by the Engineering Department, P.O. Box 880, or at 135 North Animas, Trinidad, Colorado 81082, until 1:30 PM August 27, 2025, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

Plans and specifications are available from the City of Trinidad. Bids may be hand delivered to City Hall Annex, 125 North Animas Street. The bid must be placed in one envelope, securely sealed and clearly labeled "PROJECT 08-2025 CHURCH STREET PROJECT". The City of Trinidad will not be responsible for premature opening of bids not properly labeled. Only bids received by the City Engineer on or before the aforesaid date and hour set for closing of this Invitation For Bid (IFB) will be eligible for consideration. Any bid received after the closing time, regardless of the method of delivery, will be returned unopened to the bidder. Bids may not be withdrawn after the closing time.

All bids will be evaluated and selections made as soon as possible after the bid opening. Award of bid is subject to approval by the Trinidad City Council. Bids shall be valid for a minimum of sixty days following the bid opening. The City of Trinidad reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to award orders for the items described either in whole or in part, if it seems to be in the best interest of the City to do so.
