The Town of Morrisville is soliciting bids for the Church Street Park Cricket Field Lighting Upgrade – Installation Services Project. For questions, please email bids@morrisvillenc.gov.

Bid Opening

Bids will be received on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 until 11:30 AM EST in PDF format to bids@morrisvillenc.gov.  The contract is to be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder, provided the bid has been submitted in accordance with the requirements of the bidding documents, is judged to be reasonable, and does not exceed the funds available. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or to award the contract, which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Town.

There will be a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Church Street Park Picnic Shelter Pavilion located at 5817 Cricket Pitch Way, Morrisville, NC.

for Sports Lighting Equipment Installation and Electrical Service Upgrade. Bids are due on
Wednesday April 8, 2026 up to 11:30 AM (Eastern Standard Time) and should be sent via

The Project Scope is defined by the Contract Documents and is further described in the
Lighting Upgrade - Installation Services Scope of Work attached as Exhibit A
A sample Town of Morrisville contract is attached as Exhibit B
The Town of Morrisville HUB Requirements are attached as Exhibit C
Provide a proposal for installation services including price, HUB a(cid:431)idavits, references
demonstrating the successful completion of three (3) to five (5) similar size Musco lighting
projects within the last 5 years
* Installer must possess a current NC contractor's license
Provide an alternate add price for the installer to furnish the 600 Amp 277/480V 3phase
panel

Town of Morrisville Bid Form
Project: Church Street Park Cricket Field Lighting Upgrade
The undersigned bidder has carefully examined the form of Contract, the Advertisement for
Bids, referenced Plans, and related project information, all of which are acknowledged to be
part of the proposal and the Proposal Form, and the Bidder has also carefully examined the
site of the proposed work. The undersigned further agrees to sign an Construction Contract
for all or part of the work determined by the approval of the Town of Morrisville Sta(cid:431) based
upon the below amount, if o(cid:431)ered within ninety (90) days after receipt of Bids. The Bidder
further agrees to provide and furnish all necessary materials, equipment, machinery, and
labor necessary to complete the installation of the work in full, in complete accordance with
the plans and the contract documents to the full and entire satisfaction of Musco Lighting,
LLC. and the Town of Morrisville and in accordance with these documents within the time
limit specified below.

The subject line of the email shall read: Church Street Park Cricket Field Lighting Upgrade -
Installation Services. The body of the email shall contain contractor's name, address and
license information. All other support documents required to be submitted with the Bid - see
MWBE requirements - should also be submitted with this email.
In addition to all other agreements and assurances, the undersigned Bidder understands
and hereby agrees as follows:
1. If this contract is awarded to the Bidder, they must, upon completion of this contract,
or at any other time requested, furnish to the Town of Morrisville an accurate itemized
statement of North Carolina Sales Taxes paid on materials, supplies, installed
equipment and any other items charged to this contract, and otherwise fully comply
with the Procedure for Reporting North Carolina Sales Tax Expenditures.
2. The Bidder represents and agrees to complete the entire project in the following
number of Consecutive Calendar Days: Twenty-eight (28) days from the date that a
Notice To Proceed issued. Approximately May 1 to a completion date of May 29.

3. The Bidder agrees to comply with the Town's policy to encourage bidders to use
Historically Underutilized Business, as specified in the Town of Morrisville Historically
Underutilized Business (HUB) Program E(cid:431)ective 1-26 -2004, and small local
businesses as identified in the Town's Morrisville Means Business program.
Projected Contract Execution, Permitting and Construction Closeout Sequencing:
Town of Morrisville Contract Award
Awarded Bidder to submit signed contract forms along with insurance information
as required in the Contract
Contract Execution
Awarded Bidder (Contractor) to provide contact, licensing and trade cost
information into the Town's permit portal
Issuance of Town Building (Electrical and Structural) permits
Pre-construction Conference
Town to issue Notice to Proceed Note that the (28) day Contract Completion Period
has commenced
Installation / Construction period with required Town and Third-party inspections
Formally commission the equipment with Musco and Town representatives
Contractor to obtain Certificate of Completion from the Authorities having
Jurisdiction
Town Project Manager issue Certificate of Substantial Completion with Punchlist for
any outstanding items
Following completion of any Punchlist items, Town Project Manager issue
Certificate of Final Completion
Contractor to conduct 11-month warranty inspection with Town and Musco
Contractor to complete remaining warranty items, if any
