INVITATION TO BID
The Calhoun County Commission (“County”) will receive competitive sealed bids until Tuesday, March
10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., Central Time, for the purchase of the following vehicle, or its equivalent:
One (1) or more 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe 2WD 4dr Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV), or Equal, to meet the
following specifications including emergency equipment including but not limited to:
Sports Utility Vehicle
White Exterior Color
2 Wheel Drive Drivetrain
Engine 5.3 EcoTec3 V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management
10 Speed Transmission
Cloth Bucket Front Seats/8-way Power Driver’s Seat

County reserves the right to purchase one or more, or none of the additional options included
herein and contained on the bidder’s bid sheet.
This vehicle must be available for delivery within 7 days.
All additional fees must be included on the bidder’s bid sheet.
Any deviation from or substitution for the listed specifications must be noted on the bidder’s
response sheet.
Sealed bids with the words "2025 Chevrolet Tahoe 2WD 4dr Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV), or Equal,” on
the outside of the envelope or package containing the bid, must be submitted to the Calhoun County
Commission, 1702 Noble Street, Suite 103, Anniston, Alabama 36201, no later than March 10, 2026 at
2:00 p.m. Bids sent by facsimile transmission, telegraph, electronic mail (e-mail) or telephone will not be
accepted. Bids received after the deadline shall not be accepted and shall be returned to the Bidder
unopened. Questions and requests for additional information regarding this invitation to bid should be

A bid bond, certified check, or cashier’s check in lieu of a bid bond, made payable to the Calhoun
County Commission, in the amount of $1,000.00 must be submitted (enclosed) with the sealed bid.
FAILURE TO SUBMIT A BID BOND, CERTIFIED CHECK OR CASHIER’S CHECK IN LIEU
OF A BID BOND, AS HEREIN REQUIRED, WILL CAUSE YOUR BID TO BE REJECTED. IF
A BIDDER SUBMITS A BID BOND AND THE BID BOND IS NOT EXECUTED BY THE
PRINCIPAL AND THE SURETY THE BIDDER’S BID MAY BE REJECTED.
The Selected Bidder agrees, by accepting a bid award, agree to the following: The contracting parties
affirm, for the duration of the agreement, that they will not violate federal immigration law or knowingly
employ, hire for employment, or continue to employ an unauthorized alien within the State of Alabama.
Furthermore, a contracting party found to be in violation of this provision shall be deemed in breach of
the agreement, shall be responsible for all damages resulting therefrom. Additionally, in compliance with
Ala. Act No. 2023-409, by signing this contract, Selected Bidder (“Contractor”) provides written
verification that Contractor, without violating controlling law or regulation, does not and will not, during
the term of the contract engage in economic boycotts as the term “economic boycott” is defined in
Section 1 of the Act. This requirement applies to contracts entered into on or after October 1, 2023 if
Contractor employs 10 or more employees and the contract could exceed $15,000 over the term of the
contract. Under Section 2 of the Act, the written verification may be waived if the contracting
governmental entity determines based on cost and quality factors that such a waiver is clearly in the best
interest of the public.
The Selected Bidder will, by accepting this bid award, agree to the following: By signing this contract,

within the state of Alabama. Furthermore, a contracting party found to be in violation of this provision

The Selected Bidder must complete all necessary paperwork required by the County for verification of
enrollment in the e-verify program to verify full compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control
Act of 1986, as amended by Immigration Act of 1990 and the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and
Citizen Protection Act, as amended.
Bid award, if any, will be to the Bidder that is determined to be the lowest responsive, responsible bidder
with the ability to provide the desired services described in this Invitation to Bid. The County may award
to a preferred vendor in accordance with §41-16-20, Code of Alabama 1975, if and as amended.
The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any technicalities, informalities and
irregularities in bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in the interest of the County.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the
consent of the County.
