2024-025 - Cherokee County ADC Generator Replacement

The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners Purchasing Department (County) is requesting competitive sealed bids from Contractors for the removal and replacement of the existing 1000kVA/800kW diesel generator and associated Automatic Transfer Switches (ATSs) at the Cherokee County ADC, 498 Chattin Dr, Canton, GA. This includes a 1000kVA/800kW 480/277V 3-phase diesel generator set, housed in a weatherproof sound attenuated enclosure and certified UL2200, alongside the replacement of two 600A ATSs and one 400A ATS. Due to the critical nature of the facility, which includes a jail and a 911 call center, there are stringent requirements for minimizing downtime, necessitating the use of a roll-up generator during the project to ensure continuity of power. The final proposal must be turnkey, inclusive of all associated costs¿¿ meeting the specifications and as described herein.

There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference and site walk on 4/5/2024 at 10:00 AM. This conference will be held at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center, 498 Chattin Dr, Canton, GA 30115 in the main lobby. Attendance is required. All times are local times to Cherokee County, GA in the Eastern Time Zone.
