Chemical Improvements at the Lake Whitney Water Treatment Plant

The project includes: replacement of sodium hydroxide (caustic) chemical feed system within the Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda) Storage Room including bulk tanks, day tank, transfer pump, metering pumps, piping, valves, and instrumentation; installation of potassium permanganate chemical feed system within the New Potassium Permanganate Storage Room including mix tanks, day tank, transfer pump, metering pumps, piping, valves, and instrumentation; demolition of existing potassium permanganate equipment and components within the Existing Potassium Permanganate Storage Room; and building improvements including replacement of a door, new fiberglass platforms and stairs, new tempered water system and safety shower eye wash stations for the sodium hydroxide and potassium permanganate chemical feed systems, new dust collection system, new powered lift table, new concrete landing, chemical resistant coatings for chemical feed systems, and miscellaneous electrical improvements.
