2025 Chemical Bid

CITY OF LANCASTER-DIVISION OF WATER BID REQUEST

LEGAL NOTICE FOR PUBLICATION

SEALED BIDS will be accepted until 11:00 AM on the 22 ^nd day of May 2025 by the Director of Public Service-Safety of the City of Lancaster, Ohio, at the office of said Director at 104 E. Main Street, Lancaster, Ohio 43130, for the provision of various chemicals to be used for water treatment by the City of Lancaster Division of Water. The contract for the above referenced items shall commence by May 22, 2025 and run for one (1) year, with the option to renew for an additional one (1) year term. All bids should be conspicuously marked “Water Treatment Plant Chemical Bid”.

To obtain bid documents, including detailed specifications for the above requested items, visit the City of Lancaster website at https://www.ci.lancaster.oh.us/bids or the North Water Treatment Plant at 225 N. Memorial Drive, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM.

BONDS: Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check drawn on a solvent bank in the sum of five percent (5%) of the total bid. Should any bid be rejected, such bond or check shall be immediately returned to the bidder. Should any bid be accepted, such bond or check shall be returned upon execution of the contract. A performance bond shall be required as well for the full amount of the contract to ensure faithful performance.

AWARD OF CONTRACT: The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any abnormalities in the bidding process. The bid price alone shall not determine the best bid; the merits of the chemical, the delivery time, and the amount of storage space required to store the chemical shall also be considered.
