Abstract
NOTE: Grant Eligibility is open only to NEW Charter School Implementation Grant Applications, or will begin serving students in August 2025 or later.
The goal of the DECSP grant is to enhance education for all students to ensure they meet challenging State academic standards by:
- Objective 1: Increasing the number of high-quality charter school seats available to students across Delaware by 19.5% by providing subgrants for the planning, program design, and initial implementation of new charter schools along with expanding, and replicating, highly effective charter schools.
- Objective 2: Sharing best practices between charter schools and other public schools; and,
- Objective 3: Evaluating and enhancing the impact of charter schools on student achievement, families, and communities and supporting efforts to strengthen the charter school authorizing process.
