Scope of Services
The purpose and intent of this term contract is to secure firm pricing from a list of pre-qualified contractors to provide reliable Charter Bus Service for field trips, athletic activities, and extracurricular activities as required and scheduled by each school site District wide. Charter Bus Service will be used on an as needed basis by Marion County Public Schools. The contractor will be responsible for meeting all specifications as outlined herein and on the Bid Proposal Form. Failure to comply with these requirements may be cause for Bid rejection or termination of award.
All qualified vendor(s) shall be responsible for complying with all Federal, State, and local standards, regulations, and laws concerning the services specified and the use thereof, applicable and effective on the date of service, including safety and environmental standards.
All responsible and responsive vendors that submit a bid shall be recommended for award. When services covered under this bid are needed, the District will request quotes from all awarded vendors of this bid. Quotes shall be provided to the District contact that requested the quote no later than 48 hours from when the quote request was sent. The District will request a shorter turnaround period for quote requests if necessary. If applicable, this shorter turnaround period will be notated with the quote request.
