SEALED BIDS for construction of Chapell Drive Sanitary Sewer and Water Line Relocation will be received by the City of Monett, City Hall, 217 5th Street, Monett, Missouri 65708 until 2:00 p.m. prevailing local time, April 9, 2025, and then publicly opened and read aloud at the City of Monett, City Hall, 217 5th Street, Monett, MO 65708.

The proposed work includes: Relocation of water and sewer lines along Chapell Drive in Monett, MO. Sewer line shall include 323 LF of 12” PVC pipe with manholes and incidentals. Water line shall include 531 LF of 12” C-900 PVC pipe including incidentals. City of Monett shall furnish water line pipe and fittings only.

Copies of the plans and specifications are on file and may be examined at the office of Monett City Hall, 217 5th Street, Monett, Missouri 65708.

The successful bidder will be furnished three complete sets of plans and specifications.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects or to reject any or all bids and to readvertise and to rebid.

All materials for the project shall be tax exempt.

Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount of five percent (5%) of his/her base bid which is subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.

PREVAILING HOURLY WAGE RATES

Attention of BIDDER is particularly called to the requirements as conditions of employment to be observed and that BIDDER must comply with the payment of hourly wage rates, including all fringe benefits, as established by the Wage Determination Sections 290.210-340, RSMo as amended in 1969 pertaining to the prevailing hourly wages and including fringe benefits, as established by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri. A copy of each determination will be provided with the contract documents prior to the bidding date. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
