Chaparral Tank Replacement Project

Project Description
Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) is seeking qualified contractors for the rehabilitation of a 1,000,000-gallon welded steel potable water storage tank, including internal and external coatings, removal and replacement of the tank roof, and any necessary appurtenances located at the end of Chaparral Drive in Sonora, in Tuolumne County, CA.

Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting:

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 18885 Nugget Blvd., Sonora, CA 95370 March 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM local time . Tank site visit to follow. Each Bidder must be represented and attend the entire meeting. Each representative shall sign an attendance sheet identifying the Bidder represented. Bids will only be accepted from Bidders represented at the pre-bid conference. Attendance by subcontractors is not mandatory, but all interested prospective subcontractors are encouraged to attend. Only contractors that attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting are considered eligible to submit a bid.

March 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time.

Bids
Sealed proposals for the construction of the Chaparral Tank Rehabilitation Project addressed to the Tuolumne Utilities District, 18885 Nugget Boulevard, Sonora, California 95370, will be received at the office of the District until 2:00 p.m., local time, on March 13, 2026, and will then be publicly opened and read.
