SEALED BIDS from Prospective Bidders for the Chalkboard Replacement Project at Fort Hunt
Elementary School will be electronically received by Fairfax County Public Schools, an equal
opportunity employer.
Bids must be received before 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, electronically, using the
procurement portal powered by Bonfire Interactive website, https://fcps.bonfirehub.com.
Bidding documents will be available electronically to Prospective Bidders on Friday,
March 6, 2026, from FCPS, Nay Bunaugh, njbunaugh@fcps.edu, 571-423-2279.
Bidders are advised that the Contract Documents for this Project require the payment of
prevailing wages to all mechanics, laborers, and other workers of every tier in accordance
with the Fairfax County Prevailing Wage Ordinance and Virginia Code § 2.2-4321.3 (the
“Prevailing Wage Requirements”). The successful Bidder’s obligations with respect to the
Prevailing Wage Requirements applicable to this Contract also include, but are not limited to,
compliance with the certification and recordkeeping requirements set forth therein. Additional

Requirement for Electronic Submission of Bidding Documents:
To be eligible for consideration under this IFB, Prospective bidders must submit bidding
documents (Bid Form) electronically using a procurement portal powered by Bonfire
Interactive, for submission and acceptance of bidding documents. Physical delivery of bid
security is required twenty-four (24) hours prior to the bid

opening. To register for use of the Bonfire platform, prospective bidders are instructed to visit
and create a free account at https://fcps.bonfirehub.com. Assistance with registration and use
of the Bonfire platform is available by emailing Support@goBonfire.com or calling 1-800-354-
8010 and selecting option 2.
Mandatory Procedure for Submission of Bidding Documents: Prospective
bidders are advised of the following mandatory procedure for submission of
bidding documents for this IFB:
1. Electronic submission of completed bid form at
https://fcps.bonfirehub.com before Wednesday, 2:00PM March 18, 2026, and
2. Physical delivery of original bid security, no later than Tuesday,
2:00PM March 17, 2026, in a sealed, opaque envelope that is
(a) labeled with Prospective bidder’s name and “Bid Bond for IFB 26-010” and (b)
addressed as follows:

To be eligible for award, Prospective bidders must complete both items 1 and 2, above,
no later than the Due Date and Time.
Bid Opening: The bid opening will be held in Gatehouse Administrative Center, conference
room 3663. Enter the building at the above referenced address at the front entrance as early
as 1:45 p.m.
Virtual Bid Opening: The Fort Hunt ES Chalkboard Replacement Project, IFB 26-010 bid opening
will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 via Google Meet. You may join the meeting as early as
1:45 p.m. The Google Meet link is set forth below:
In-Person Viewing of Bid Opening: In addition to the to the live stream bid opening, in-person
viewing of the bid opening will be held in conference room 3663. Enter the building at the above
