Request for Proposals (RFP)

Central Water Integration Pipeline (CWIP) Condition Assessment

Solicitation No. R-26-003-MM

The San Antonio Water System (SAWS) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to perform water main condition assessment services utilizing non-destructive, free swimming, near-field electromagnetic (EM) testing technologies at two (2) separate project locations, totaling 4.9 miles of 30”-36” AWWA C-301 prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) and ductile iron (DI) pipe for the Central Water Integration Pipeline (CWIP) Conditions Assessment Project. The condition assessment will identify structural deficiencies, the number of wire breaks, failure risk, and the current condition of the pipe to aid SAWS in repair and/or replacement planning. In addition to the EM pipe inspection, the Scope of Services will also include leak detection utilizing in-pipe acoustic based technology to identify existing leaks at joints and along the pipe wall in the same pipelines.
