Cemetery Brook
Drain Tunnel
(CBDT) Project
Contractor and Program
Manager Outreach Event
December 14, 2023
Manchester, New Hampshire
Contractor and Program Manager
Outreach Event
The Department of Public Works/Environmental
Protection Division, Manchester, New
Hampshire will be holding a contractor and
program manager outreach event to present
the upcoming Cemetery Brook Drain Tunnel
(CBDT) Project in anticipation of the RFQ
release in December 2023 (program manager)
and late Q1 2024 (contractor). Depending on
interest, virtual attendance may be permitted,
but in-person attendance is encouraged. For
registration, see event registration instructions.
The CBDT Project is part of the city’s Consent
Decree with the United States Environmental
Protection Agency to conduct a $300 million,
20-year Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO)
mitigation program. The CBDT will remove
Cemetery Brook drainage flows from the city’s
combined sewer system and will ultimately
support the future sewer separation in the
city’s largest drainage basin over the next
20 years. This project will improve water
quality in the Merrimack River by reducing
CSO discharge during heavy rain events and
reduce average daily flows to the Manchester
Wastewater Treatment Facility.
