    The Minnesota Department of Agriculture intends to enter an agreement with CEM procure to a CEM MARS XPress Vessel Set. The vessels are used for digesting test materials (e.g. food and animal feed) for determination of metals and minerals (e.g.: calcium, arsenic, mercury) using the lab’s existing CEM Corporation MARS Xpress microwave digestion system. The vessels deteriorate over time and require periodic replacement. The vessels are a proprietary item designed by the manufacturer (CEM Corporation) to fit the MARS Xpress.
