NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of said City invites and will receive sealed proposals (bids) up to the hour of 2:00 pm on October 31, 2024, for the furnishing to said City of all transportation, labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, permits, utilities, and other items necessary to construct said work. At said time, said proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at the office of the City Clerk:

MANDATORY Pre-bid job walk will be held on October 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at 1015 Eleventh Avenue, Delano, California 93215.

General Description of Work:

The work involves the replacement of the City’s Water main on 12 th Avenue from Oxford Street to Princeton Street. The project includes the removal of the existing 4-inch water main, the installation of  550 lineal feet of new 8-inch PVC water main along with new metered lateral services. The residential block will receive a new water main in the street connecting with existing mains on each end on the new line which will improve water circulation and pressure consistency.

Engineers’ Estimate: $175k to $200k.

General Contractor: Engineering Class A. These classifications are provided for information purposes only. The Engineer does not warrant that all classifications required for the project are listed.
Special Requirements:
It is the City's intent that "plans," as used in Public Contract Code Section 3300, is defined as the construction contract documents, which include both the drawings and the specifications.

The City Council of the City reserves the right to select the schedule(s) under which the bids are to be compared and contract(s) awarded, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any and all irregularities in any bid. The project, if awarded, will be based upon all work contemplated in the Base Bid. After selection by the City, alternate bid items may be added to the Base Bid. The City reserves the right to perform any combination of work detailed in the base bid plus alternate bids based on available funds. Each bidder is required to sign the attached Non-Collusion Affidavit and submit it with his bid.
