Scope of Services
The purpose of this Request for Application is to provide services to Brevard County Residents

consistent with the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners’ approved plans and strategies.

This Request for Application funding will be provided through Brevard County’s Community

Development Block Grant Public Service Program. It is anticipated that $207,946.00 will be allocated

to Public Services programs with a minimum grant request of $25,0000 and a maximum of $50,000

with a 25% match requirement. An agency cannot request funds for more than one Fiscal Year

2025/2026 program.
The Community Development Block Grant Program was established by Congress through the

Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, to provide local governments and

residents with the funds needed to work comprehensively toward improving the quality of life in low and

moderate-income areas. It allows for local flexibility in determining needs and developing

strategies to address those needs. Community Development Block grants are distributed to areas and

agencies that are determined eligible for funding.
