Project Description: Partnering with Safeway Inc to provide vaccinations and pharmacy services for students and chaperones traveling to destinations like Paris, France April 4-13, Lisbon & Porto, Portugal May 16-25, and Dar es Saalam, Tanzania June 20-29 enhances the City Colleges of Chicago study abroad program in several ways: 1. Health and Safety: By partnering with a trusted pharmacy provider like Safeway Inc, City Colleges can ensure that all participants receive the necessary vaccinations tailored to the specific health risks of their travel destinations. This proactive health approach minimizes the likelihood of health-related issues abroad, offering peace of mind for both students and chaperones. 2. Convenience: Safeway’s wide network of locations and extended hours make it easy for participants to access services without long travel or scheduling conflicts. 3. One-Stop Service: Vaccinations, pharmacy and medication services at the same location simplify the preparation process. 4. Confidence: Promotes safety and well-being, increasing student and family confidence in the program. 5. Competitive Edge: Safeway’s combination of a larger network of locations, extended operating hours, and on-site pharmacy services provides a clear advantage over competitors, who may not be able to offer the same level of access or convenience. This partnership strengthens City Colleges of Chicago’s study abroad program by providing superior service that supports the overall experience. Inconclusion, this partnership ensures that students and chaperones have the resources they need to travel confidently and safely, making City Colleges of Chicago’s study abroad program more attractive and accessible to a wider range of participants.
