Quote for an as needed contract for street light electrical services. All work must be done by Utah Licensed Journeyman and

must meet the current NEC codes and Riverton City Standard Specifications. The Riverton City Standard Specifications can be

viewed at the following website.

Contractor will be required to get a Right of Way Encroachment permit on each as needed project. The fees for the permits will

be waived; however, all other requirements will apply. The permit can be downloaded from the following web site:

Contractor will be responsible to locate, avoid and protect all utilities.

Price for each item on the attached bid schedule must include all costs associated with the performance of the services

specified, including materials, supervision, labor, insurance, transportation, delivery, fuel or other surcharges, demurrage,

conduit, wire, fuses, mobilization, landscape repair and concrete repair as specified in the measurements and payments.

See the attached Contract Pricing Bid Schedule. We have had a similar contract for this service for the past 10-years. The

last time we bid this we specified three classes of soil types and asked for pricing for work done in each soil class. Based on

the past 10-year history, we have found that Riverton's soil type is primarily the same in all areas which is "Material with 26%

to 49% greater that 1" sieve", please bid accordingly.

Traffic control is primarily determined by the location and the project. For that reason there are two sample projects attached

as well. Please provide traffic control prices for each of these sample projects.

The award of each project will be made according to the below procedure.

This Contract may be a multiple award contract meaning the city may award the contract to more than one contractor. The

award will be as follows:

An award will be project based, meaning when the city has a project, the department will make an award of that project to the

lowest responsible bidder, for that project. For that project, the contractor will be considered the Primary Contractor and all

others will be considered Secondary Contractors. The City will contact the Primary Contractor with the assignment of the

project. The Primary Contractor will have 48 hours to respond and provide a schedule to complete the project and a cost for

the traffic control. In the event the Primary Contractor does not respond within the 48-hour period or in the event the

proposed schedule to complete the project is not acceptable or in the event the traffic control price seems unreasonable, the

City will contact the next lowest Secondary Contractor allowing them to schedule the assigned project with the same

requirements as required by the Primary Contractor. The City will follow these steps until a contractor is selected for the

assigned project. If a contractor schedules a time to complete a project and does not start or complete the project in the

scheduled time the contractor will be considered a Non-Responsible Contractor and will no longer be contacted.
