Caterpillar Generator Maintenance, Parts, and Emergency Repair

Project Description: Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a two (2) year noncompetitive procurement to Ring Power Corporation, in the amount of $824,183.06, for ongoing and as-needed scheduled maintenance, emergency repair services, and associated parts for Caterpillar brand generators, to include an additional estimated amount of $301,100.00 for hourly, after hours and holiday labor rates, parts, equipment rental and mileage fees. This procurement is being made in accordance with Section 3-208(15) of the County’s Procurement Policy and is considered a sole source as the original generator manufacturer’s authorized representative, Ring Power Corporation, shall perform maintenance, repair services, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts for existing generators and is only reasonably provided from Ring Power Corporation. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly.
Contractors who believe that they can provide goods and/or services that are substantially and materially the same as those identified in the attached vendor proposal and sole source letter dated October 1, 2024, must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge the intended award. Challenges to this notice must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project and must be directed to the primary contact listed above using the “messages” section in Bonfire for this particular procurement. After this date, an award will be made. The County will review properly submitted challenges (responses) to determine whether bona fide competition exists.
