Catering for the Statewide Historic Preservation Conference

The Minnesota Department of Administration, State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), intends to enter into an agreement with Rathskeller, Inc., to provide catering services for the 2025 Statewide Historic Preservation Conference (Conference).

The Conference is an annual conference where the host city is responsible for procuring the venue and SHPO is responsible for providing the catering for the event. The host city for the 2025 Conference is the City of New Ulm. The City of New Ulm and its Heritage Preservation Commission selected Turner Hall as the venue for the Conference. Turner Hall has an in-house exclusive caterer, Rathskeller, Inc., and does not allow outside vendors to provide catering services in its facility.

The State determined that Rathskeller, Inc., is the only entity that can provide the required services for the Conference. The required services are not available from other third parties, so this is deemed a single source purchase.
