NOTICE OF INTENT TO DESIGNATE SOLE SOURCE
The Procurement and Contract Administration Division is publishing this notice pursuant to the City of Deerfield Beach Procurement Code section, 38-116., Sole Source. The
Procurement
Division intends to award a contract without competition if it is determined to be in the best interest of the City.
DETERMINATION OF OTHER INTERESTED VENDORS
This Request for Information (RFI)/ Notice of Intent to Designate Sole Source is intended to ascertain whether the commodity or service specified below is currently available from multiple providers/brands. Any such vendor must submit the following information:
Regardless of any prior communications with the
Procurement
Division, all vendors interested in responding to this notice must submit a response to this posting containing complete responses to all of the information requested above. Any questions regarding this notice may be obtained through the Purchasing Division during this publication period.
No action is required if you agree with this notice.
If after the public notice period, the
Procurement
Division determines that there are other interested and qualified vendors that meet the specifications of this notice, the
Procurement
Division will not award a contract pursuant to this notice. If after the public notice no valid submission have been received, the City of Deerfield Beach, or designee, may award a
two (2) year
contract to the identified vendor without competition.

This Request for Information (RFI) is intended to ascertain whether the commodity or service specified below is currently only available from an only one source. This is not a request for pricing or a commitment to purchase.
The
Procurement Division
shall consider such submittals and notify all submitting vendors of the decision whether to designate a Sole Source.

Filtrate Pump for Lime Sludge Drying Process.
The City of Deerfield Beach is seeking to determine whether other qualified vendors are capable of providing the specified equipment, OEM-equivalent products, parts, and related installation and service support for the Carver Model 55A-CCA-ACA-ZZZ.
The requested unit must be an
855-OH 2x9 Filtrate Pump
constructed of
All CD4
(Casing/Side-Plate/Impeller) with a
Drive Pack Assembly
(including guard, belts, sheaves, and motor plate) configured for
Position 3 Discharge
.
The unit must include NPT adaptors for the BSPT drain/flush connections.
The City is seeking a vendor to supply, deliver, and install the above-referenced equipment, including all necessary parts and services, to support the City’s water distribution system operations, including maintaining system pressures during utility power outages.
Submittal Instructions:
Vendor MUST submit its solicitation response electronically and MUST confirm its submittal in order for the City to receive a valid response through eProcurement. Refer to the Purchasing Division website or contact eProcurement for submittal instructions. It is the Vendors sole responsibility to ensure its response is submitted and received through eProcurement by the date and time specified in the solicitation. The City will not consider solicitation responses received by other means. Vendors are encouraged to submit their responses in advance of the due date and time specified in the solicitation document. In the event that the Vendor is having difficulty submitting the solicitation document through eProcurement, immediately notify the Buyer and then contact eProcurement technical assistance.
