2026 Carpet Removal and Replacement Contract

Sealed proposals for the 2026 Carpet Removal and Replacement Contract will be received at Edwardsville City Hall, 118 Hillsboro Avenue, Edwardsville, IL 62025 until 2:30 PM, prevailing time on Friday, April 10, 2026.   Proposals will be opened and read publicly at 2:30 PM, prevailing time on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Edwardsville City Hall. The proposed improvement consists of the removal and replacement of carpeting at various buildings throughout the City of Edwardsville, including all associated work in accordance with the plans and specifications. Plans and proposal forms are available at Edwardsville City Hall, 118 Hillsboro Avenue, Edwardsville, IL 62025 or can be requested at www.cityofedwardsville.com/bids. The contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The City of Edwardsville encourages minority business firms to submit bids for this project. The City of Edwardsville also encourages successful bidders to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. Upon award, the successful bidder shall be required to enter into a Project Labor Agreement with the Southwestern Illinois Building & Construction Trades Council, as specified in the proposal. The City of Edwardsville reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals.
