Carpentier Park Project – LWCF – 23-00899

Notice: The City of Sanford, Parks and Recreation Department, are seeking bids for construction to upgrade Carpentier Park as part of a LWCF Grant project.

Work Includes: Construction to Carpentier Park with the addition of a splashpad, landscaping and paving.

Sealed bids are due at the Parks & Recreation Office, Thursday, February 26th, 2026 no later than 12:00pm. Bids can be delivered to our office at Memorial Gym - Door 6, 678 Main Street, Sanford, ME 04073 or mailed to 678 Main Street, Sanford, ME 04073.

Location: Carpentier Park, 82 High Street, Sanford, ME 04073

Scope of Work for LWCF Project: Removal of old playground swings. Installation of new splashpad. Grading of site and other prep work. Installation of new paved, ADA walkway and 3 parking spots. Seeding of lawn. Planting 6 trees. Improved landscaping. See bid set documents.

Note: Aceto Landscape Architects have developed bid set documents for this project.
Note: Survey of Carpentier Park is complete and available to see at the Parks & Recreation Department office.

Note: This project must be compliant with Build America Buy America (BABA). We can provide the requirements if you are unfamiliar.
