2025 Carpenter Creek Stream Restoration Project

Sealed proposals for the 2025 Carpenter Creek Stream Restoration Project will be received by the Village of Carpentersville, Public Works Department, Engineering Division located at 1075 Tamarac Drive, Carpentersville, IL 60110 until 10:00 A.M., local time, February 6, 2025, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The proposed improvements will consist of the restoration of Carpenter Creek after an emergency repair to the adjacent Lake Marian Road’s sheet pile retaining wall caused the creek’s alignment to change. The project will realign 250 feet of the creek within the project area. Project works includes, but is not limited to, tree removal; earthwork; floodplain benching; rock riffle, rootwad, and rock toe placement; execution of all specified erosion and sediment control practices; installation of erosion control blanket and native seeding/plugs; restoration of the construction area; and all other incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans, specifications and all other applicable standards.

A Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total proposal shall be submitted with each proposal as provided in Article 102.09 of the “Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction”, prepared by the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

The awarding authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in Article 102.08 of the “Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction”, prepared by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
