Sealed Bid Proposals will be received by the City of Tuscaloosa, at the Council Chamber of City   Hall, 2201 University Boulevard, on Tuesday, June 10th, at 9:00 a.m. local time for this project, at which time bids will be opened and read.

Pre-Bid Conference: Attendance at the MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference is required in order for a General Contractor to submit a bid on this Project. The Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Council Chamber of City Hall, 2201 University Boulevard, on Thursday, May 22nd, at 2:00 p.m. local time or virtually via Teams.  To receive a meeting link, please email [email protected] .

Project Scope: The following scope of work will occur at Tuscaloosa National Airport. This project is Bid Package #1 for the site development of the Cargo and Operations Overflow Apron. Work items include grading to top of subgrade within paved areas, grading of final elevation of turf areas (except for turf areas just outside of future pavement areas), installation of stormwater pipes and headwalls, installation of apron lighting, and seeding and/or sodding of all disturbed areas.
Award of the contract will be made within sixty (60) calendar days from the date of the bid opening.

Plans and Specifications:  Plans and specifications and all related Contract Documents are open for public inspection at the office of the Tuscaloosa National Airport Director, Jeff Powell, located at 7601 R. Cardinal Airport Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 34501 and  plans,  specifications  and  other  elements  of  the  contract  documents  may  be  obtained  from  the  office  of  the Engineer  AtkinsRéalis North America, Inc., designated as the office of the awarding authority for this purpose, located at  404 BNA Drive, 6th Floor, Nashville, TN 37217.  The contact person for the project is Eric Roden, P.E., C.M.  They can be reached at (256) 521-1215 or at [email protected] .
