The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is committed to improving the cleanliness of cars in revenue service. One part of this effort is to install a system to automatically track by number which cars have been washed at each of WMATA's six (6) rail yard car wash installation. The solution will utilize each cars existing Automatic Equipment Identification (AEI) tags. The purpose of this Scope of Work (SOW) is to define the requirements for the hardware and related support needed to install a comprehensive Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tracking system at WMATA car washes.
