Cannery Park Phase 1B Improvements

The Commissioners of Cambridge are soliciting sealed proposals from qualified contractors for the construction of a park expansion, site furnishings, and site clearing and rubble removal in preparation of the next phase of construction.  Work consists of approximately 8,000 square feet park expansion, installation of park furniture, and site clearing of 1.15 acres of land.

Sealed bids will be received by the Department of Engineering, 1025 Washington Street, Cambridge, Maryland 21613 until 4:00 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The successful bidder must agree to commence work on or before a date specified in a written “Notice to Proceed” from the Owner, and to fully complete the project within 120 calendar days.

Bidders shall visit the site before submitting a bid for this work and thoroughly familiarize themselves as to the accuracy and correctness of the same.  A pre-bid meeting will be held on March 12, 2025 at 10 am at the City Council Chambers at 305 Gay Street. The pre-bid meeting is not mandatory but interested contractors are encouraged to attend.

The City of Cambridge reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive informalities or irregularities as it may deem best for its interest.
