CANCELLED- CHANGE IN Request for Statements of Interest (SOI)/Statement of Qualifications - Temporary withdraw of Advertisement for Engineering Services

Notice is hereby given that Newtown Township is withdrawing request for SOI as currently advertised and will be using the PENN DOT system ECMS to retain an engineering firm to act as the Township’s Engineer for a multi-use trail from Troop Farm Road at Route 252 to Bryn Mawr Avenue at Route 3 through an existing easement through Dunwoody Village Property. The selection of the Municipal Engineer will be valid for no more than 5 years. The firm must be a registered ECMS Business Partner. The project will be posted in ECMS within the next few weeks.   All bidders will need to use ECMS to participate in the process.  Please refer to the Township’s website for additional updated information. https://www.newtowntownship.org/164/Current-Bids-RFPs

Penn DOT has requested we pull the advertising and inhouse method the Township planned to use to select an Engineer.   The Township will be using ECMS to retain an Engineering firm.  The process will be similar.  The major change is that the entire process will run through ECMS.

Penn DOT and its consults are reviewing our documents and will be making sure they meet all of their requirements.  As soon as that is done it will be uploaded in ECMS and the process will start.
