4.0 DESCRIPTION

A. Scope: The project includes replacement of window systems on three campus

buildings as follows:

• Wells Hall: Complete removal and replacement of all window systems, including fixed and hung windows, storefront framing and entrances, and curtain wall.

• South Complex (Alternate 1): Removal and replacement of curtain wall and storefront systems on the east face of building.

• Owens Library (Alternate 2): Removal and replacement of curtain wall system at southeast corner of building.

B. MBE/WBE/SDVE Goals: MBE 10%, WBE 10% & SDVE 3%

Note: Only MBE/WBE firms certified by a State of Missouri public entity, and SDVE(s) meeting the requirements of Section 34.074, RSMo, and 1 CSR 30-5.010, as of the date of bid opening, can be used to satisfy the MBE/WBE/SDVE participation goals for this Project.

8.0 GENERAL INFORMATION

A. Northwest reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities in bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days subsequent to the specified bid opening time. The contractor shall pay not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages for work of a similar character in the locality in which the work is performed, as determined by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations and as set out in the detailed plans and specifications.
