Call To Artists - Public Art Initiative Kwanzaa Kinara Sculpture

The City of Bowie, Maryland requests proposals from individual artists and artistic teams (the Artist) to create a sculpture for the City at the Bowie Senior Center, at 14900 Health Center Drive, Bowie, MD 20716. Complete specifications and documents may be obtained at no cost through Bid Locker at: https://bidlocker.us/details/5193_Public_Art_Initiative_Kwanzaa_Kinara_Sculpture . Registration to use Bid Locker is at https://bidlocker.us/Account/Signup and is free to all interested parties.

Electronic (pdf) proposals will be received through Bid Locker at https://bidlocker.us/details/5193_Public_Art_Initiative_Kwanzaa_Kinara_Sculpture until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025. The City of Bowie reserves the right to reject any submissions.

Interested respondents are encouraged to visit the City Senior Center to view the installation site.

All questions or requests for clarifications regarding this RFP shall be submitted through the Bid Locker platform at https://bidlocker.us/details/5193_Public_Art_Initiative_Kwanzaa_Kinara_Sculpture , prior to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025.  Written responses to all questions and/or requests for clarifications will be issued no later than Thursday, August 7, 2025, to all those who have expressed interest in this RFP through the Bid Locker platform.

The City encourages certified disadvantaged business entities to submit a proposal.
