Applications are now being accepted for bands and musicians to perform at the City of Sumner’s Cultural Arts Commissions events in 2026, including the popular Music off Main Concert Series.

About the Events:
The Music off Main Concert Series, sponsored by the City of Sumner’s Cultural Arts Commission, is a free summer concert series. The popular concert series is looking to feature a variety of musical performers. The music should encourage a family friendly, fun and relaxing environment for attendees. The concert series in 2026 will be held back at the newly renovated Heritage Park in downtown Sumner.

2025 Performance times and dates:
● Friday, July 10th, 2026, from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm
● Friday, July 17th, 2026, from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm
● Friday, July 24th, 2026, from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm
● Friday, July 31st 2026, from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm
● Music off Main concert in conjunction with the Chalk Art Festival at Loyalty Park on Saturday, August 8th, 2026 from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm

Objective:
To attract a wide variety of people to these summer events and to celebrate community, diversity, the arts, and promote Sumner as a family-friendly, welcoming destination.

Proposal Specifications:
The City of Sumner Cultural Arts Commission seeks musicians that will appeal to a wide range of audiences.
● Any range of genres by local or regional acts is desired
● The selected person/s shall perform at one of the event dates and locations listed above
● No profanities are allowed
● Stage, sound equipment and/or technicians for the Music off Main concerts WILL be provided by the Sumner Cultural Arts Commission
● Load-in and sound check are allowed after 4:00 pm on the said dates of performance
● Dressing rooms and hospitality riders are not provided

Selection Criteria:
We are going to evaluate a variety of things, such as music, diversity of artist/s, cost for performance, and quality of material. Covers and originals accepted.

Deadlines:
The deadline for any submittals is midnight on Sunday, February 16th, 2026.
