The South Portland Public Arts Committee (PAC) is seeking artists to paint murals as part of a city-wide Greenbelt public art trail. Paintable wooden 4’x8’ surfaces will be installed along the greenbelt trail in South Portland at locations yet to be determined. Each location will have two surfaces to paint on each side of the installation. Each artist will be awarded one surface.
We are seeking art that enhances and engages the public along the Greenbelt trail system. Artists must submit a brief description of the proposed mural art with an initial concept idea, and samples of past work in order to be considered for this project.

prior to the deadline. Each proposal must be submitted in PDF format, with all documents, including the email subject line clearly marked “Greenbelt Art Trail Murals RFP 08-27”. Late, telephone, facsimile and or unsigned responses to the RFP shall not be accepted. All responses shall be held open to acceptance for sixty days from their opening. It is the proposer’s sole responsibility to ensure that their proposal is submitted prior to the date and time specified.
