The Goedeker and Ladd properties are situated at the confluence of Calico Creek and the Big River. They are adjacent properties, with Calico Creek running between them. Both property’s forested areas have Ecological Site descriptions that include a mix of Chert Upland Woodland, Chert Exposed Backslope Woodland, and Shallow Dolomite Upland Glade/Woodland. The upland areas were heavily harvested approximately 25-30 years ago and are currently inundated with eastern red cedar and undesirable saplings that require thinning as prescribed in the Forest Management Plans for the respective properties
