• Any efforts to dissuade or discourage other vendors from submitting proposals

• Any efforts to influence, dictate, or change the terms of another vendor’s proposal.

• Any form of bid collusion or bid rigging.

Failure to execute/sign bid prior to submittal shall render bid invalid. Late bids are not

PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND

The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is currently the largest school district in

North Carolina and the 14th largest in the United States. There are over 200 schools serving a

student population of approximately 162,000, with approximately 20,000 staff. Wake County

covers 854 square miles. Additional information about the school system can be accessed via

the internet site (www.wcpss.net).

Please provide a quote for the following items in the template below. This is a non-brand

specific solicitation and that the referenced is for comparison purposes only and all

functional equivalents will be reviewed. Items must meet or exceed specifications. If not

bidding/quoting the model referenced vendor must provide detailed documentation on

product specified and must explain in detail how the product meets or exceeds what is

specified in the bid document. Specification details, color swatches, all warranty and

replacement information must be included to be considered. WCPSS reserves the right to

determine if bidder’s functional equivalent is acceptable.

ALL ORDERS MUST BE SHIPPED COMPLETE AND THE WCPSS PURCHASE ORDER NUMBER MUST BE SHOWN ON

THE BOXES OR PACKAGES AND MUST BE ON THE PACKING LIST. ALL THIRD-PARTY SHIPPERS ARE REQUIRED TO

HAVE THE PACKING LIST WITH WCPSS PURCHASE ORDER LISTED OR SHIPMENTS WILL BE RETURNED AT

VENDOR’S EXPENSE. REQUEST FOR QUOTATION MUST BE SIGNED (ELECTRONICALLY OR OTHERWISE) AND ALL

PAGES OF THE BID DOCUMENT SHOULD BE INCLUDED WHEN THE BID PACKAGE IS SUBMITTED TO

bamartin@wcpss.net. IF NOT SIGNED, SUBMITTAL OF QUOTE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Products quoted must meet or exceed the quality and durability of the referenced. UNIT PRICES

MUST INCLUDE ALL APPLICABLE SHIPPING CHARGES FOR QUOTE TO BE VALID. WCPSS

reserves the right to award line by line or to the overall lowest bidder. All vendors must provide proof

that they are registered to do business within the State they are registered and are not debarred by

State of NC or Federal Government. There should not be communication of any sort pertaining to

this bid with any party (vendors, staff, etc.) as this is the responsibility of the buyer of record. Please

direct all emails to my attention. Any deviation from this process will void the bid process.

Term Contract – Pricing must be valid through June 30, 2027 as multiple

purchase orders may be issued at the same delivered unit price and quantities

may vary. If both parties agree, WCPSS reserves the right to extend bid award

for up to two (2) additional years in one-year increments.
