This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for Category 6 UTP ethernet compliant cabling materials and installation upgrade for thirteen (13) District sites. Tucson Unified School District has dramatically increased network traffic in recent years. This project will support the expansion of current and future network traffic through installation of network wiring, and Outdoor Access Points (OAP), and related equipment.
The proposal that is deemed to most cost-effectively meet the stated Applicant requirements, and therefore is in the best interest of the Applicant, will be selected. A purchase order will be issued upon a favorable funding commitment decision, but no sooner than July 1, 2026, in accordance with TUSD accounting procedures. In addition, the District reserves the right to limit or modify the scope of work based on budgetary limitations unrelated to the E-Rate program. To ensure funding availability, all invoicing must be issued not later than June 30, 2027.

The district serves roughly 40,000 students, with about 8,000 members on its staff. Tucson Unified School District has dramatically increased network traffic in recent years. This request is for Category 6 UTP Ethernet-compliant cabling materials and installation upgrade for thirteen (13) District sites. Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) intends to apply for discounts on the products and services listed in this RFP through the federal E-Rate program for Fiscal Year 2026/2027. (7/1/2026- 6/30/2027).
