Description

  1. NOTICE

    This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought to conduct market research and to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. As stipulated in FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not considered offers, shall not be used as a proposal and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This effort does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever; furthermore, the Government is not seeking proposals at this time. Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for any costs incurred, or information provided, in response to this market research.


  2. PROGRAM DETAILS

    The government intends to issue a sole source solicitation/contract to Sargent Aerospace & Defense LLC (CAGE: 78062) as the sole owner of the data necessary to remanufacture the C-5 Landing Gear Right Angle Gearbox (Left Hand P/N: 49001-001, NSN: 1620-01-160-6348 and Right Hand P/N: 49002-001, NSN: 1620-01-160-6351) in accordance with Technical Order 4S2-70-3. The Government will not distribute the data to any other interested parties.

    The purpose is to conduct market research to determine if other sources exist, and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. A responsible source may respond with the details listed below.


  3. RESPONSE

    Please provide the following in a PDF document emailed to the point of contact identified herein:

    a. Company name and active CAGE code

    b. Point of contact name, email address and phone number

    c. A description of the company’s experience remanufacturing the C-5 Landing Gear Right Angle Gearbox (Left Hand P/N: 49001-001, NSN: 1620-01-160-6348 and Right Hand P/N: 49002-001, NSN: 1620-01-160-6351) in accordance with Technical Order 4S2-70-3 within the last three years from the date of publication of this SSS.
