SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of this project will install new fiber optic and supporting electrical infrastructure to
extend the existing fiber optic network and connect the southern and northern sides of Port of
Morehead City in Carteret County, North Carolina. The project will cross beneath railroad tracks
and roadways. Fiber optic network, trenching, directional drilling, and electrical work are included
in the project’s scope.
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids for this work will be received by Robert Kohler of the North Carolina State Ports Authority at
Port of Morehead City in the 2nd Floor Conference Room located at 113 Arendell Street, Morehead City,
NC 28557, Phone: 910.746.6412, up to 2:00 PM, on Monday, March 2, 2026 and immediately
thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.
