Single-prime licensed general contractor to renovate the 36,000 SF, two-story Business Administration Building (constructed in 1969) located adjacent to the main campus entrance. The renovation will create a student-centered service model by consolidating multiple departments into a more integrated, accessible approach. Early demolition and abatement have been completed. To be considered, the contractor must: - Hold a current North Carolina general contractor's license. - Meet all applicable bonding requirements. - Obtain an application package from the UNCP website at the URL above. - Demonstrate experience on comparable projects similar in complexity and contract value to the scope described above, preferably within an active university campus setting. So that the selection process is as objective as possible, from the date of this public announcement, do not contact members of the Board of Trustees, Campus Officials, and/or staff other than the project contact. All communications should be directed to the project contact via email only, with a copy included to Victor.Deese@uncp.edu, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Facilities Management and douglas.hall@uncp.edu. If the required submission and process are not followed, the response will be deemed nonresponsive. UNCP has an affirmative policy of fostering, promoting, and conducting business with women and minority owned enterprises. Women and minority contractors are encouraged to participate in the prequalification process. Firms are requested to assure receipt of proposals via email only.
